The user profile section allows you to specify how your name will be displayed on your website, the email address you use to login to your WordPress dashboard and other personal information related to your WordPress user account.

So, let’s get started and add some details on the user profile:
Step 1:
Login to your WordPress dashboard.
Then, go to User >> Your Profile.
Step 2:
You will land to the author profile page. This is where you can edit your user profile.
You can choose to disable the visual editor and change the Admin Color Scheme. Also, you can enable Keyboard shortcuts for comment moderation. The toolbar can be hidden when you are viewing the site.
The username cannot be changed. But, you can input your first name, last name, nickname and choose the name that you want to display publicly in your posts.
You can also change the email address. Remember, this is the email address in which you’ll get the link to reset your password in case you forget it.
So, ensure that email address you provide is accessible. You can input your website link and provide your description. If you want to change your profile image, you can do it from Gravatar.
You can also generate the new password in case if you want to change it.
Finally, click the “Update Profile” button to save changes.
